What are cocoa nibs? Find out with a porridge recipe for your perfect breakfast

Today we will talk about the cocoa nibs and so that you can check it yourself, we will leave you an exquisite recipe for an atomic breakfast.

What are cocoa nibs?

If you want the purest flavor of cocoa and experience all its benefits, cocoa nibs are the perfect ingredient. The production process of chocolate consists of harvesting the cocoa fruits, the subsequent extraction of the beans, their fermentation, drying and then crushing (plus other stages that are not worth delving into in this short article).

It is during the crushing of the cocoa beans that we obtain a residue that we call "nibs" (from English, "tips" or "pieces"). The nibs are then pieces coming exclusively from the fermented and roasted cocoa. Fermentation and roasting intensify and reveal the flavors of cocoa and therefore respecting these processes is crucial to obtain nibs and chocolate of the best possible quality.

The nibs are 100% cocoa

Due to their composition and shape, they are crunchy and delicious, and their consumption can bring many benefits to your health since nibs are the only product that really 100% cocoa from the catalog of any chocolatier (unless they sell you the "cocoa mass" which is actually sold as an ingredient for professionals only).

Being a 100% cocoa product, it has a very high content of antioxidants that fight the damage caused to our cells by free radicals.
